How to Check Property Mutation Status Online?

Property mutation is a crucial process that must be followed when purchasing a new property. When property ownership changes, it is essential to update the land records in favour of the new owner. This government process is called mutation. Without proper mutation of a property, there are also chances of fraud.

The same property can be transferred to others without proper mutation. Before buying or selling a property, you must check the mutation of the property. This process is maintained by the Panchayat, Municipality or Land Revenue Department. Your ownership is registered for various government purposes, like taxes and other government utilities.

  • If you buy a property.
